ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

Passed out students of HSLC/HS from Secondary Education Board of Assam and Central Board covering the North East Region and students from other Board or Council may be accommodated subject to the availability of seats and fulfillment of the required conditions. Candidates will have to face personal Counseling and guardians are also requested to meet the councilor at the time of admission of their ward. The following documents are to be produced for admission:

  • Attested copy of Admit Card.
  • Attested copy of Mark sheet.
  • Two copies of passport size photograph of candidate.
  • Caste Certificate, if any.
  • Registration Card.
  • Pass Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.
  • Gap Certificate.
  • Migration certificate, if migrated from other state other than Assam.

B.A./B.Com

Candidates securing 40% in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for admission. The following documents are to be produced for admission into B.A./B.Com:

  • Attested copy of Admit Card.
  • Attested copy of Mark sheet.
  • Two copies of passport size photograph of candidate.
  • Registration Card.
  • Pass Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.
  • Migration certificate, if migrated from other state other than Assam.

ATTENDANCE

The institution has attendance register for each subject separately in order to maintain regular attendance of students.
Students must have an attendance of at least 75% of the lectures delivered in each subject separately in an academic session. The student having 100% attendance in the session is rewarded. Students having attendance between 60% will be under the norms of NC and DC respectively. Students failing the norms will not be allowed to sit in the final Examination.

B.A./B.Com:

Students in degree level must have 75% attendance in each subject. Failing to secure the asked percentage, students are not allowed to sit for the semester examination.

EXAMINATION

Examinations are conducted according to the academic calendar. Students must sit in the
Terminal/Test/internal Assessment of 20-50 marks and Selection Test/ Pre-Final/ Mock Test examination of 100 marks. Over and above, there is monthly performance test on prior intimation by the college on the completion of each lesson in all subjects.
Terminal Test is held within the period of two months of commencing the classes and Selection Test Examination of 100 marks covers the complete syllabus.

B.A./B.Com:

Students in degree level must clear internal exams in order to complete the semester. In internal exams, students will have to secure 40% in each subject in order to clear the semester.

STUDENT'S WELFARE SCHEME

The college strives all efforts to take utmost care of the students in all spheres of their life, both inside and outside the college campus by arranging welfare schemes for them. In this scheme we provide the opportunity to ensure free education to the deserving candidates. Our free education facility is divided into two categories. In the first category, the students securing 80% from SEBA and 90% from CBSE and above are imparted completely free education. In the second category, the students securing 75% from SEBA and 80% and above from CBSE are given the facility of free tuition fees.
We in S.R. Academy genuinely understand the importance of talents. Therefore, we promote these talents by giving them additional Awards for their excellent performances in every field. The college also arranges orientation programs to develop the confidence in students. These classes are held during the month of April. We also undertake the effort to arrange transport facility for our students during the exam days, thereby making their travel a convenient one. The college also conducts home visit with a purpose to a better understanding of our student's background and to render a valuable insight into their academic needs.
